Miguel A. Núñez is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sapien Care. A practicing physician based in Coral Gables, Florida, he has spent his career at the intersection of clinical medicine and healthcare leadership.
He previously served as chief executive of a Medicaid managed care health plan, giving him an operator's view of how preventive care is financed, delivered, and measured at scale. He holds governance credentials from Harvard Business School and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and brings a board-level perspective on strategy, governance, and risk oversight.
He founded Sapien Care to close the gap between knowing which preventive screenings matter and actually completing them.
April Núñez is the Co-Founder and President of Sapien Care, bringing financial and operational leadership to the company.
She has served in chief financial officer and comptroller roles at healthcare organizations, with deep experience in financial controls, planning, and operations. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with physicians and clinical leaders to align operational performance, financial stewardship, and patient care objectives.
At Sapien Care, she leads finance and operations and oversees the day-to-day execution of the company's preventive health platform. Her experience working alongside physicians and healthcare executives provides valuable insight into the governance and strategic challenges facing provider-led healthcare organizations.
